Transferring to main degree during foundation year

Hi, I have been awarded student finance for a degree with integrated foundation year. The foundation year itself is at half fees (£4500). I am doing an integrated foundation year because I didn't do A-level biology. My results have come through I have more than enough UCAS points to go straight onto the full degree. The University think I may well feel able to transfer off the foundation year and onto the main degree after or during the first term. Will I be able to get an increase in value of the loan for student fees part way through an academic year? Thanks.

    Hi there.

If you transfer part way through your Uni will advise us of this electronically so there's nothing you have to do.

What normally happens is we will pay a portion of fees for the first course, and a portion to the second depending on how long you have spent/will spend on each one, up to £9000 total for the year.

As the course is at the same Uni, it doesn't make much difference as all the fees go to the same place anyway.

So long as you selected you would like 'maximum' fees when applying, we can automatically adjust your fees to the higher amount once we're notified by your Uni.
