I'm am moderatley introverted, when i was younger i was always known as the quiet one at home i feel like the underdog and and outsider in my own home i am the fourth child out of 5 and i feel like the fifth because of how i'm treated at home educationally i am doing average in a house full of smarter siblings i just feel left out and stupid, i'm not saying my parents hate me i'm just saying that they do favouritse my other siblings way more than me which makes me feel worthless and the grey sheep of the family. what can i do about this has anyone been through this?

I am in a similar situation

I feel this way. I use this as motivation to prove the doubter wrong however

I've sometimes felt like this with my friends - they were all straight A students, while I averaged Cs and Ds. I often compared myself to them and put myself down, and diminish my own accomplishments. It can be very disheartening to put in so much effort, but still feel like you aren't good enough.

However, it wasn't until last year, just after I started Year 13, that I realised that exams and grades are not the 'be all and end all' - grades do not define you as a person. I got BDD in my results last week and still got into university, whereas one of my straight-A friends didn't get onto the course she wanted.

I understand it can hurt to feel like your own parents think less of you because of your grades, but at the end of the day, all that matters is that you are happy with your grades and the work you put in for them. I hope this helps! x
