They dont really, but they just might have other priorities.
If youve messaged him and hes read it then just leave it.
He could be busy, he might be more interested in other things like football, his m8s other girls or he could say hes been ill or feeling down.

It makes more sense if people respond quickly, but dont waste time overthinking it. You dont really know him.
