We are planning some pre drinks somewhere in the forest area around the uni before the first Freshers' event on the 10th of September. Where would be the best place to do this? Plus, it's allowed right?

Hope so, sounds like a good plan haha

"Allowed"? Small gatherings on public land that are unlikely to cause disturbance may not need permission, but an event like you are proposing would, and probably wouldn't be allowed.

Seeing as it's not your own private land, it sounds as though there's going to be drinking, music, litter, and urinating/pooing all over the gaff, which has potential to cause disturbance to public or wildlife.

Google 'illegal raves in forest' or something to get examples.

Plus, why on Earth would you want to party in a forest? Homeless people use forests to kip in. Have some respect for the tramps.
