Do people only go the events organised by the union or the official welcome week,
or do the majority of people go to events organised by others Cheers specifically this applies to UCL

Hello

Generally during Freshers Week, the SU's and local clubs in the city work hand in hand with each other - they offer discounts and deals to students etc.

In my experience from my Freshers, people went to the SU events and then headed into town after as the SU on our campus closed around midnight so people headed into town.

It's just up to you what you want to do - personally, I went to all the Freshers Week events but waited until the week after to go into town.
