I was told by my teacher that I would get a high A/A* for AQA music Unit 4, the composition. However when I received my grades today, I noticed in the breakdown that I had only just received a C in that particular unit, only 48 out of 80 UMS.
My teacher has told me that in previous years he has marked students coursework with accuracy. I understand that marking is open to interpretation but is it really possible that the marker will think it 3 grades worse than my teacher?
I am planning to try and contact my school tomorrow but I am not sure if they will be open. Should I ask for a remark or is there a possibility that there has been a mix up when sending off the coursework? (note that the CD was changed at the last minute as my teacher forgot to add one of my classmates' compositions)
Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated, I am really not sure what the best way forwards is. Xx
Music composition 3 grades lower than predicted?!
