Applying for Politics & IR?

Why bother with a post grad? Are they even worth it? Have your say! 26-10-2016

Will be applying for Politics & IR in a few months and I'm not sure if I should take on the EPQ to show extra interest in the subject.

My AS grades were AABC (Politics, History, Bio & Chem) and I'm dropping chem so will be predicted A*AB (Will try to push that B to an A)
I'm also a politics area prefect, have attended an IR summer school, IR lectures and done wider reading including Noam Chomsky etc..

I'm not sure if an EPQ alongside my A-Levels will actually benefit me or just add extra stress.
Is there anything else I could do to boost my application/PS

Also, Warwick is probably the most prestigious school I'm looking to apply to. Birmingham, Nottingham, SOAS have caught my interest too.
