In my GCSEs I got 7A*s 3As, do Oxbridge take GCSEs into a lot of consideration when you apply or is it more based on personal statement, interviews and of course A levels?

Depending upon the course you want to do, those GCSE's would be fine for Cambridge, however for Oxford they may be slightly below the average applicant. Cambridge have traditionally look at AS results more, whereas oxford looked more at GCSE. Also you have the admissions tests as well which can be very important ( e.g BMAT for Medicine ). What course were you thinking of taking?

Ignore above, those grades are standard for Oxbridge applicants. Congratulations! :congrats:

those gcses are about slap bang in the middle of the average grades for an oxford student, so puts you in a good place for applying

GCSEs are fine for everything except Oxford Medicine.

Oxford have more of a liking towards GCSEs, Cambridge more to AS UMS %. I'm not sure their takes on interviews, personal statements etc.

The average is like 4A*-9A* so you're totally fine with everything but Medicine where everyone has like all A*'s
