Should i get a remark on English Language

Hi everyone,

I'm very happy with all of my results apart from a C i got in English Language. I wanted at least a B in this subject and was only 1 UMS off the B grade boundary (I got 174 UMS the boundary was 175). :frown:

Obviously it seems like the right idea to get a remark but i am really scared that i might go down to a D grade which would completely screw everything up for A-Levels.

Would you be able to give me some advice on whether i should apply for a re-mark or stick with what i got based on the results below:

All scores in UMS:
English Language 1 (coursework) - 36 (B)
English Language 3A (coursework) - 35 (B)
English Language 2 (the exam) - 103 (1 off a B grade)

Could you also tell me how many raw marks i could loose in the re-mark before i would go down to a grade D?

Thanks

Alex
You're obviously very close to a B so it's highly unlikely that a remark would take you all the way down to a D.

But they have changed the way remarks are carried out this year so that minor differences of opinion between examiners will not result in any changes.

I would get a remark only if you felt you did better in the exam than the mark indicates.

After all, getting that C is the most important thing ....

Let me know how you get on.
theres literally no chance of you getting a d. go for it
