Hi guys I'm going into my first year of college in September and I chose BTEC Health and Social care level 3. I just want to know what to expect. Is it a lot of work? Is it hard to keep up with? Also, how does the work placement work? Is there any presentations? (im terrified of them ) If someone who is quite experienced with this could explain everything it would really make me calm, and actually be excited for college. Thanks

You will be doing the new spec so I can't say much.

I am going into my second year of Hsc and you will be expected to do presentations, work in groups and what not.

You will be taught some, psychology sociology, Anatomy and physiology aka human biology and other units like health and safety, equality and diversity and human development.

Having said that I think you will sit some exams since they changed the specification meaning the book I used is obsolete.

I hope you enjoy the course, the units are indeed exciting.

As for placements you will do a DBS check and probably be in placement once or twice a week and come college the next day

Hi, I can't help as I am in the exact same position as you but I am doing the Health and Social Level 3 Btec as well so if you ever want to talk or anything, feel free to message me
