I live in Asia, studying in a local school which does NOT teach ALevel.
I took both AS A2 by myself when I was in form 5 (Year11), and only got AAA. I planned to retake the A2 part while studying in an international school which follows the ALevel curriculum, but I could not join the school immediately due to administrative issues.
So in the following year, I graduated from my original school at Form 6 (year12, yes there are only 6 years in local highschools), after taking the local DSE exam (accepted by most UK unis). It turned out that I got really low marks, as I sort of gave up mid way and just wanted to take ALevels.
So this year, I will be starting my Year 13 in the internation school, taking A2 exams next June, but it hits me that unis may think I am a "retaker", thus reject me if they have "no retake" polices.
SO... am I technically a retaker?
Am I a "retaker"?
