Coventry as a place

Hi there,

I potentially have a job in Coventry university and some of my friends are saying that Coventry is not a great place to live.

Can anyone give me information on the city and if it is worth living there, I come from a small city (Preston) but may move to Coventry for a job, any help would be appreciated!

I study at the University of Warwick, which is also in Coventry. I am from nearby Birmingham and I can say that while living in Coventry isn't that great, it's not exactly the worst thing in the world. It's definitely not as bad as people make out.
