Ucl start date - urgent

I'm starting at UCL this September 2016 and I'm confused over the start date. I know that the UCL freshers week starts on the 25th but I am in Garden halls which is intercollegiate and opens not the 18th. Do i arrive on the 18th or the 25th? For the week of the 18th there are no events at UCL (only for international and I'm not) so what would i do for that week? But my arrival date says the 18th? I'm so confused!!
When does the UCL accommodation open? What dates?

You can arrive when you like after the 18th and get settled. London is a massive city and there's lots to do. The uni experience is about gaining independence so don't expect everything to be planned for you.
