    Can I use a dual-band WiFi booster to get a 5Ghz signal?

Currently, I am using a 2.4Ghz Virgin router because of certain devices that only run. If I brought a dual-band WiFi signal booster, would I get the 5Ghz signal?

I don't know much about boosters,
But if it's connected by cable to the Virgin router, and the booster does emit 5Ghz frequency then yes, you should get 5Ghz, I can't see how Virgin could throttle that.
