I'm just wanting a bit of an idea of how much time I'll have to set aside in order to succeed in these subjects and also how hard (or easy?) people found them! I've taken:

    English Literature

    Thanks in advance!😊

I don't know but I'll be starting alevels next month
Psychology is hard work there's a lot to learn and remember so you'll need to consider that. English lit and history are hard work to. I'm back a school year so I did sociology alevel and that is equally hard work there is a lot of case studies to remember.
You will succeed if you are prepared to put the work in

I only did history from these.

If you enjoy history it will be great. I found the course very interesting and didn't consider reading books on the subject to be anything like work. If you don't already know find out what the course entails and see if its stuff which interests you. I know if i had taken the alternate history course at my college i would have hated it (urgh, modern 'history').
