I am a GCSE student who is about to go into Year 12. I just got my GCSE Results. I achieved 6 A*s, 4 As and 2 Bs! Loads of people tell me different things about how GCSEs are becoming increasingly important for elite Universities! Despite the fact that I have not done my A Levels, people say to me that GCSEs can make or break your University destination!

My dream is to do Economics at LSE! Would my GCSE grades be suitable enough for me to consider applying to LSE to do Economics with a reasonably good chance of getting in?

Could someone who preferably has experience with these issues help me! I am really anxious about this!

Economics at LSE is extremely competitive and most applicants will have 8 or more A*s. However, the amount of A*s that you got won't make or break your application; especially if you get really good AS results and UMS(90%+, ideally 93+). But again they will look at the whole picture i.e your personal statement and reference as well as the grades so just focus on what you can change now rather than stressing about your GCSE results (which are excellent!)
