Im so confused in what course to choose and I have less than a month!

I am going to Uni next month and I've just done last minute research and Im so confused on what course to actually choose. I am stuck between business management or marketing. I have looked at the statistics for the percentage of grads in each course going on to a professional job within 6 months and the percentage for marketing is 95% whereas marketing is about 60%. However I am worried that if I go into marketing course I can only go into a career with marketing, whereas the management course includes everything from Human resources to marketing etc. Im trying to find out what jobs are more in demand with each course? In my view I thought it would have been management because there is always demand for managers anywhere but not many people take on marketing so I thought there would be demand for that. HELP!!!!!!!! 😭😭🔫

Business management would be an insanely cool course that will definitely challenge you and take you places. But marketing? Bit generic innit...
Hold on - do you currently have a place at uni? For what course? Are you taking about changing that course?

Marketing is a subset of business, so you'll get to specialise in one area rather than having a more general understanding of lots of areas. Get some work experience in each and see what you prefer.

I have applied for a business management and marketing degree for sep 2016, but i have been told joint degrees arent that good to do. So i wanted advice. Would marketing limit me only to marketing jobs? And are they even in demand?

What are the career paths if I take on management? Are my career options quite widely open if I do take on management?..

Go for Business Management, far more potential offshoot opportunities there, while with Marketing you are instantly specializing yourself for a particular career path which you may hate.

My wife is a marketing manager and a global financial services company and she studied International politics w/ Spanish, so if a job in marketing is your goal it doesn't necessarily matter what you study...in fact it is far better to get a CIM instead

So if I do management my career oppurtunities will widen and can go into different sectors yes? That has helped me a lot by the way!
