# Maximum football match score possible is 125-0

Why bother with a post grad course - waste of time? 17-10-2016
1. Assuming the minimum time possible between goals is 45 seconds, and there are 5 minutes of added time each half, you get the maximum number of goals it is possible to score in a single match: 125.

I made it up. It is definitely possible to score a goal in 2 seconds, but it is not likely that the average seconds per goal ratio is going to be '2'.

So what you've worked out is the likely achievable maximum and not the actual possible true maximum.

Goddamn clickbait I swear to god
