Pull apart cupcake cake vs. Cake. Birthday for my 93 year old grandma?

    yeah, I know... it's just me panicking but I seriously am stuck. I have to bake my Grandma's cake and I don't know what option is best. I thought of the cupcake idea due to some guests having gluten intolerances. This way, they could have the birthday cake too instead of something different. But also, some guests are really childish in a way and will put their nose up at cupcakes. I then thought of a normal cake with 2-4 gluten free cupcakes surrounding it.

    Yeah, I know. This sounds dumb but I want to get it right.


    The second option sounds better

    Second option it's a shame not everyone would want the cupcakes though, because some kind of cupcake tower could look really lovely
