Literature EPQ Questions..?

I've gotten permission to do an investigation into themes of feminism in mid 20th century women's literature, and I'm currently looking to compare three novels.
I have couple of questions for anyone who has been doing/has done a literature related EPQ.

1. Is three novels too many? I'm doing Sylvia Plath, Virginia Woolf and Daphne Du Maurier's work, one novel from each. Should I do two instead?

2. Do I have to include primary research? I have no idea how I would do it for this topic if so. I've had no guidance from my college for my EPQ at all so far but I have read elsewhere that primary research isn't always entirely necessary, very much depending on what your topic is.
Sorry you've not had any responses about this. :frown: Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.
