Hello, I am about to embark on my PGCE and despite everything being sent in in feb we are still trying to sort out my student finance.

To cut a very long story short I need to know how they would use my husbands income to work out my entitlement when he is also supporting our sons application.

The guidelines are not clear and advice online is varied. Anyone with any experience of this situation and could offer advice would be appreciated.

    Hi there.

For a sponsor who supports more than one student we apply a slight reduction to the household income.

We apply a reduction of £1130 for each additional dependent so if there is just yourself and the other student who rely on him financially then this will apply.

If there are any other dependents we will apply an additional £1130 for each one on top of that also.
