Good gym near university ?

Hello, I will be starting university this Spetember, I will be living in Talybont north ( hit me up if you wanna meet- I need friends XD). I am just wondering if there is any good gym near university( preferably powerlifting friendly). I know there are the university ones but I heard that they are always crowded and enough plates.
Thank you for any replies

If you're worried about it being crowded, you can go to the gym early in the morning or late at night. I'm going to be doing the same thing at Lancaster.

If all else fails, google maps will help. Either that or just look around when you get to the university. Exploration is always fun. It will give you the lay of the land when you get there, too.
Hey! I'm in Talybont North and would be interested in going to the gym too, let me know if you find anywhere!

There is a fairly new gym not far from the university right in the city centre - Easygym. It's £18.99 a month which seems quite reasonable.
I have used Easygym and vitality, which are both in the city centre. Vitality has sadly now closed (though there is still one in cardiff bay for those who are south of the city centre!) but easygym is still a good option. It's much further away than the uni ones, but if you're likely to be going before/after lectures or other wise being in town for socialising then it's quite convenient.
