I've always had aspirations of going to Oxbridge (preferably Cambridge) but was slightly disappointed with my GCSE results. Ideally, I wanted 8 A*s and 2 As so was pretty disappointed with my results:
English Language (IGCSE): A*
English Literature (IGCSE): A*
Maths (IGCSE): A
Chemistry (IGCSE): A
Physics (IGCSE): B
So overall I got 6 A*s, 3As and a B. Honestly, are these grades good enough for Cambridge or should I not bother? I know the majority who apply have at least 8A*s and definitely straight As so would my B hurt my chances? When looking at them in relation to the rest of my school, I was probably in the top 30% as I go to a high performing independent school so will this hurt my chances as well?
Even though I got A* in all four subjects I'm doing at A Level and if I have a strong interview and get A*s and As at A Level, will my GCSEs hold me back?
Honest answers please as I don't want false hope!
Are my GCSE results good enough for Oxbridge?
