Hi everyone, just started Year 11. Currently in the process of doing my Graphics coursework, we're around the prototyping boxes part but I'm slightly behind and am still doing my Design Ideas. I've done about 3 pages for logos, a bit OTT maybe but that is my speciality and I thought I should show off my talents to boost my portfolio a little. The thing I'm struggling with is Compartments. I feel like I've shot myself in the foot for choosing Band Promotion, everyone else has chosen the board game or activity pack design brief and they seem to have endless ideas for this section. Anything I think of is very uninspired and requires little making, and I need to show off different making processes per the mark system. What I've decided to include so far is wristbands, t-shirts with my own motif designed in Photoshop printed with a sublimation process- will I actually get any marks for including a t-shirt? I'm saying this because tshirts are more of a textiles thing and it's not really graphics related?- and tickets. I have no other REALISTIC ideas. I drew out a hat in the shape of a squid (related to my band theme) and a keyring that can hold your earbuds for you but those are, realistically, impossible to make. Additional question, will I get marks for using CAD as early on as in the design ideas process? I did some hand drawn logos and 2 on photoshop. I'm also planning on getting an image off a website of a blank t-shirt and placing my design over it on photoshop, too.
God, I feel like a fool, I wish I just chose the board game because I know for a fact I've instantly lost marks for the simplicity of the project.
