Secondary application

I have already completed a two year course in which I applied and received student finance for two years. Since completing that course in 2015, I have found another course I wish to apply for. However this course is four years, and I have heard that there is a limit to how many loans you can apply for, meaning that as I have already received a loan of two years, I will be unable to apply for the full four year course? I just wanted to know if this is true, or if I would still be eligible for funding for the course?

You get length of course + 1 - previous years study. Student finance work backwards.
