So my 18th birthday is coming up and Ive decided that I would like to go travelling somewhere.

The idea was to get 2 or 3 friends and travel to somewhere in Europe with a decent nightlife so we can go clubbing, drink and what not. The problem is that my birthday is in December, so all the places I had in mind (Ibiza, Napa, Magaluf) are deserted for winter as far as im aware. So I was wondering if anyone knows of any good places in Europe for clubbing in winter? Also, another option would be to go to a music festival or concert but these are generally short in numbers because of the winter thing. If anyone knows of any decent music concerts for teens around christmas time that would be neat.

Amsterdam is our first choice, but weve decided to save for that for next summer instead. Are there any Amsterdam alternatives within Europe that share similar marijuana laws? Apologies if this kind of discussion is prohibited on the site, was not my intention to break any regulations.

I can't think of any clubbing destination that will be open in December, these resort towns go into hibernation over the winter. Any musical festivals / concerts in December will be cultural or Christmas-related. Perhaps you should just stay in the UK for your birthday and save your money for the summer?
