I'm currently working on my personal statement but I'm struggling to know where to start. I'm wanting to apply for English Literature and Philosophy and I'm looking at Durham, York and possibly Cambridge... i don't know where else yet. Any advice from people studying this course would be greatly appreciated!! and any suggested extra curricular reading would also be brilliant. What are the most important things to include? Any opinions from students at these universities? thank you

Have you had a look at our PS builder? See my signature below. You basically want to talk about why this subject, what your specific interests are and what you've done to develop them. You want a 50:50 split of statements too. Have a look at course structures to get an idea of what will be taught and read around those subjects.
