Early payment

I am studying abroad for my third year and iget my first instalment of student loan quite earlynin august but the next one drops all the way in january and i dont have enough for rent and exepnses until then. Is it possible to ask for my loan to drop earlier than january?
Hi there.

This is dependent on where you are studying abroad. If you are studying in a country where they have differing terms from the UK, i.e, 2 instead of the usual 3, you can send in a 'Study Abroad' form which means we can split your funding into 2 instalments rather than 3.

If the structure of the course still has 3 terms, the only way to request an early payment would be to discuss this with out discretionary payments team, however they will only normally alter payments if you're suffering from hardship.

They can be reached by e-mailing [email protected] and they're likely to ask for evidence of your hardship such as any bills and obligations you have.
