Will a university not even consider your application if your predicted grades are below the entry requirements? I got AAAB at AS and am predicted A*AB but need A*AA at A2. However someone else may have got BBBB and be predicted AAAA so surely they don't just base them on predicted grades? Thanks my friends keep saying you get rejected instantly if predicted grades are lower than requirements are they right?

You most likely will be rejected if it's a popular course, if its a small course they may consider you just to fill up their numbers but well done on getting them at AS, I can't imagine you'll get bad A2 results so you should have a good chance. good luck!

If you do get those grades at A2 that are required or even the ones you're predicted you could get in to the uni of your choice through adjustment even if they don't consider you at first

If the course was something like Economics at Oxford then I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be considered, but that's only because of how competitive it is. If it is less competitive then it's always worth applying. Obviously I wouldn't have all 5 choices above your predicted grades but putting 1 or 2 will never hurt as long as you have safer options that you know you can get the grades for realistically.
