I know that Durham University allows applicants to send them a substitute personal statement, and I'm just wondering if any other universities do this? Also, does anyone have any advice on how to talk about which parts of the course interests you in the personal statement? I'm struggling to talk about this without making it sound too specific to the course of one university.Thank you

It may vary depending on the departments within a university, although I am aware that Durham does allow you to. However, you don't need to do it unless the course is very different to the rest that you are applying for (e.g. applying to medicine at 4 unis and writing a separate PS for pharmacy for your 5th choice). Therefore, you should make your additional PS specific to the other course you are applying for - remember that they will still be able to access the original PS on UCAS
