I've been looking into the Open University recently as I am wanting to go back to get a degree as a "mature" student. I'm 31 years old and am planning on moving around a good amount over the next few years, living in more than one country, so a red brick uni is not an option for me.
I am looking at a few different subjects, but leaning towards getting into computing/IT/software dev/design. Does anyone have any experience with the OU degree in this area? I didn't really know much about OU alternatives and kind of had the idea that OU was the only way to distance learn a degree but after having read some informative threads on here, and mixed reviews of OU, I am unsure.
Another option that might be possible for me is to get A-Level/uni entry requirement level studying done at distance, then have the option of attending a redbrick in a couple of years, or continuing a distance learning degree, but I'm not sure if this is possible?
Thanks for any response!
Computing/IT Distance learning anyone?
