New gcse english literature - remembering quotes

When remembering quotes for the new GCSE English Literature course what is the best way to pick quotes and what are the best way to remember them along with the analysis?
I would suggest remembering several quotes from/about each character for the plays. Focus on quotes for the themes and characters. Try pick quite a few from the beginning, middle and end. Re-writing then and testing yourself can help you remember them.

MAKE SURE the quotes have a linguistic device in them, for example: ("Thunder and lightning" - Macbeth, act 1 scence 1).

Then you could just say in your essay that it's a use of pathetic fallacy, blah blah blah.
