I may be switching to a part time timetable if my principal agrees so I plan to study and work for my GCSEs at home some days of the week. On the days I am not in school I know that the school have to put me in on SIMS as a part time pupil, but what attendance mark would I get in lessons I don't attend? Will it count me as present or will my attendance % go down and it will be counted as absent? Also if I'm no longer required to attend certain lessons, why don't they just delete me off the register for that class on SIMS?

If your headteacher does agree it might who asking them as it may be different in every school. For one, I've never heard of a part time student before since I thought you had to be in full time education.
