When it comes to a guy or girl, during the early stages when you're talking to them online or texting them or hanging out with them do you follow your gut feeling?

In that case, always try to do the right thing, choose the one that will be of most benefit for the most people. I can't help much without specifics.
If you do not feel that your time is worthwhile or you can't see it going anywhere then get out asap before things get deep.
Never had a 'gut feeling' in those instances yet.
