The House of Commons was deliberately built too small (and its predecessor which was the same size has had over 700 MPs) to ensure that it has an atmosphere for big occasions.


It's high time a modern chamber was built and relocated to York or Manchester or similar.

The Lords could be moved to Eastbourne, to align with the member's way of life and interests.

Personally I think it would be perfectly possible for Parliament to go on a national tour.

If you kept the office work and most of the committees in London but timetabled committee sittings so they did not clash with debates, there is no reason why you couldn't take a couple of flat pack chambers to existing halls whilst Westminster was repaired.

There aren't many cities in the UK that couldn't provide a couple of halls of requisite size.

Doesn't seem likely that the Tories are stitching up Corbyn. The Tories love Corbyn.
