Clearing 2007 process

Hey,

Im looking for advice on clearing via ucas if my grades are not good enough to get into uni this time. Having looked through http://www.ucas.ac.uk/clearing/ i am still left confused!

A few questions:

What is a clearing passport and how/when do i get hold of one?

Are clearing places on a first come, first served basis, i.e. how fast of the mark do you have to be to get a desired clearing course after the results are publised?

What page on the UCAS website will the results be published on?

Although i may get into uni i'd rather be organised now if i wasnt to get in rather than panic on results day lol!

Thanks for your help in advance!

It's basically all you'll need to know for Results day. Good luck!
The Clearing Passport is the document you need to use to apply to unis and will be sent to you by UCAS as soon as you become eligible. You need to be as quick as possible in applying for places because they get taken up quickly, especially the good ones, but how good your application is will still matter. I'm not sure what you mean by your third question. If you mean A-level results, they're not published on the UCAS website. You can find out on UCAS Track whether or not your unis have accepted you, but not your actual grades- you'll need to get those from your school or college. If you mean the Clearing vacancies, they'll be published in the Independent, on the UCAS website and on individual uni websites.
