Why bother with a post grad? Are they even worth it? Have your say! 26-10-2016
1. My revision guide says that relative masses have no units. Although, relative masses are the same as molar mass. And molar mass has an unit!( g/mol)
I'm confused!!!!
2. https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Relative_atomic_mass

Relative masses are the ratio between the mass of an atom/ion/whatever and 1/12 the mass of and atom of Carbon-12. Therefore is dimensionless.

The mass of a mole of a compound. Measured in gmol-1.

Yeah but
Number of moles= mass divided by molar mass.
So in my GCSEs if they ask me to calculate the relative atomic mass then what unit do I put with it???
