There is this person who is one of my best friends and also shares the first name as me. We are currently at college and we weren't meant to be doing the same subjects but then she changed her mind and she is doing exactly the same subjects as me. This means we have exactly the same lessons, the same free periods and the same breaks and lunches. She always wants to meet up before school and after school. It has gotten so much that people refer to us in the plural form. I know I sound mean but I hate it. I want to be my own person.
For example, she got a C in a test and I got an A but the teacher said we had both done well and has assumed we want to study the same things at university which we don't. I don't know what to do because she is one of my best friends and I don't want this to ruin my friendship but I need some space to grow into my own person. It sounds weird but I feel more confident on my own as my friend usually dominates conversations and I feel I don't get to have a say.
Sorry for the rant just need to get it out there.
