Hoping to apply to university (DURHAMMM!!! or UCL or Bristol etc) next year for studying beginning in the year 2018. I would like to study either English Literature, Law or History and I was just wondering if my GCSE grades are good enough to be hypothetically offered a place, on the basis I receive the entry requirements needed too.
    My GCSEs are:

    RE: B
    Biology: B
    Physics: B
    French: B
    English Language: B
    Chemistry: A
    History: A
    Maths: A
    English Literature: A

My grades aren’t what I expected to be quite honest and I’m certain my A Level grades will be a better reflection of my intelligence.

    1) Those GCSE's are amazing! you should be so proud of yourself! Keep up the good work

    2) The top unis, bar Oxbridge, don't look at your GCSE's. It has no bearing on their decision. Even if they did, you GCSE's are so amazing anyways - it should;t be a problem.

Ur GCSEs are fine UCL place an emphasis on predicted grades and the LNAT

You didn't flop your GCSE's for one.

Just focus on your A-levels and try to get AT LEAST one A* and just think of your GCSE's as the previous chapter and A-levels as the next one.

Yes universities just ask for A - C in GCSE's, mainly in Maths and English
