Not at all. For that money you could have gotten a lovely piece from Van Cleef & Arpels or Cartier. In my opinion, if you're going to splash out on jewellery then it should be an iconic, timeless piece that has acquired its price.
I believe we are meant to be impressed because it supposedly cost £1600 and they are only 14?

I don't believe for a second that it cost that much, it looks like something you could get in any high street shop

I think you just wasted £1600 on something that has no purpose other than "looks good" and even that is debatable.

you got screwed over I'm a dealer and could have bought a piece with a carat of diamonds, 17g of 14kt gold and 20cts in sapphires
but it's a nice piece nonetheless but your does look to be higher purity at 18kt as a deal I'd pay £300 top end and might realise £500 out of it

Bitcoin mining is basically useless now. You're too young to buy a car. You would have to put stocks in someone elses name, and 1600 is peanuts for the stock market. 1600 is not enough for a smart home.
