I'm doing A Level Maths and Physics with BTEC Subsidary Diploma in Engineering. My school told me that if I want to do the Extended Diploma I need to tell them now since it will be entirely new next year with exams.

I wish to apply for Electronic Engineering at Universities like Manchester University and Bath University. Because they're hard to get into, I was thinking of doing 1 year of BTEC and doing AS Further Maths in Year 13.

Would universities like the ones I said be OK with me having only 1 AS and a BTEC Subsidary applying and then doing the full A Level Maths and Physics and AS Further Maths in Year
    13?

Should I instead do A Level Maths and Physics with an Extended Diploma or National Diploma in Enigeering over two years? Would Manchester and Bath prefer this set-up?

Very few people will have any experience of candidates offering unusual qualification combinations. Your best bet would be to contact an admissions tutor at those two universities and ask. You should find contact details on their web sites.
