    Can anyone help me with this question;

    An object rests on the horizontal turntable of a record player. If the turntable is rotating at 33 revolutions per minute and the coefficient friction between the object and the turntable is 0.30, what is the greatest distance from the axis of rotation at which the object can be placed without it sliding off?

    well you should be able to find the maximum acceleration the turntable surface can impart on the object with that information - that'll be the amount of centripetal acceleration at the limit.

    convert rpm to radians per second and plug it into a circular motion forumula.
