Do all your choices include a placement? If not then it might not be a good idea as universities which don't offer placements would view that as you not really wanting to study with them. I could be wrong though, someone correct me if I am.

If its the normal 'to get experience' or 'to help pay for my future studies' don't bother, however if there is a specific individualised reason as to why and ALL of your choices include a placement it may be worth a short mention if you are struggling to fill space, but still would be far from essential
