Is a level further maths hard for a grade B student at gcse and any advice?
Posted from TSR Mobile
My question would be A. Are you taking it for the right reasons and B. are you prepared to go above and beyond what you did for GCSE and put a lot of practice in to get yourself up to a good standard in FM?
Yes it is.
Is a B grade a fair reflection of your maths ability? Did you work as hard as you should have to achieve it? If so my advice would be do something else.
Most schools in my area would not allow it unless you had achieved A* at GCSE.
If there is a good reason why your maths result is so modest then maybe with enough effort you have the potential to succeed, it's hard to say not knowing anything else about your aptitude or effort.
