Who cares? If you pass, you can delete his number

Well, he didn't mean it in a bad way, just as a friend, I think. I was just wondering if anyone else had this or something?

    All normal and harmless.

Chances are, he could be referring to a coffee somewhere to celebrate your test success, or at a motorway services during a rest break in your post-test motorway driving lesson.

It's also a good way of building up client / service provider relations, which may earn him future referrals.

The fact that you're asking on here about the offer being "normal" suggests you are uncomfortable with something. You're an adult who can make choices. Whether a person offering is a professional, friend or a romantic interest, you choose whether to accept or decline. If you accept, you'll soon find out if there is an ulterior motive, at which point you can break off the contact whenever you choose. You're in control.
