Question about putting down A-Level.

If we did the entire A-Level exam in one session (AS + A2), do we need to put down the grade we got for the AS as I was only given one complete grade for the total?

No, just your final grade for both AS and A2.

I think you'd just put the final A-level grade because AS no longer matters once you've done A2. Did you just get one certificate for the whole A-level, or one for the A-level and another for the AS level? If you did the whole A-level in one exam session, you've probably just got one certificate, in which case you just put the A-level down, but if you also got a certificate for the AS, you might have to put that down separately because it's been certified.
