Engineering at cambridge
Are there any ex/current cambridge engineers who can give me some information on what its like to study engineering at cambridge ie. The intensity, the balance between work and social activity, the fulfillment/satisfaction of the course?
3rd year Girton Engineer here. It's quite intense, particularly in the second year. You'll have ~10 hours of lectures a week which will be supplemented by about 4-10 hours of labs a week (this varies quite drastically). To support the lectures you'll be issued an average of 3 example papers a week which can take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours each to complete. These aren't formally assessed but will form the basis of your ~3 supervisions a week.
