Getting onto an Interior Design MA with a Fine Art BA?

Why bother with a post grad? Are they even worth it? Have your say! 26-10-2016

I graduated this year with a bachelor's in Fine Art, In my final year I realised I'd like to continue my studies but wanted to go towards something more design based. Interior design has always been something i'm extremely interested in and I've had several projects recycling old furniture, I think i have a good eye for decor and I certainly have my own style but I obviously lack the formal education and a proper portfolio. My question really is does anyone have any experience going from an arts based BA to a design MA? Of course Fine Art to Art and Design is quite viable but I'm wondering if anyone here has done anything like what i'm proposing and what the best way to prepare for an application of this type would be? Thanks guys!
