Ooh cool, that's great!

It's to do with the dreaded train. :u:

I haven't been feeling up to work so I haven't done anything productive :colondollar: but I'm OK I guess.
How has your Sunday been? :h:

 Yep, hopefully some more sales will arise

It is to do with that dreaded train - the one that has metal windows which cheerfully block out anything from 87.5MHz (bottom of FM band) to 2600MHz (high frequency EE 4G), with anything else in between:
1) You can't get good FM signals (87.5-108MHz) on a Class 222 train
2) You can't get DAB on a Class 22X train (Class 220, 221 and 222 all have the same design and thus the same type of windows).
3) You can't pick up high frequency 3G (2100MHz) very well unless the mast is nice and close. 900MHz 3G (on O2 and Vodafone) seems to fare better but I imagine it would still be weak, due to the windows. (I must test this with a Giffgaff SIM one day...)
4) You can't pick up medium to high frequency 4G (EE 1800MHz/2600MHz) due to the low power that 4G currently uses (has to stay within 3G's footprint), and that the signals are blocked through the windows... Low frequency (800MHz) 4G should be OK but EE haven't rolled it out yet and I'd have to test O2/Voda 4G using a Giffgaff SIM.
5) You can't use the wifi on the trains unless you pay or are in First Class (though if you sit in the standard part of a part standard, part first carriage then you will be OK)
6) I haven't done a detailed check on AM reception but when I did a quick test ages ago, AM reception was no good either. Alo haven't tested Freeview signals but I doubt that they would pass through such windows - and you'd need an external aerial anyway, which would NOT be possible on any type of train!

Nevermind, we can't always be productive

I've been good, thanks for asking  Haven't done a lot though!
