Hi! I'm studying a level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Creative Media production and i'd like to apply for a journalism course at The University of Cardiff!
I understand that A-levels are much preferred in more prestigious universities, however, my predicted grades are D*/D*/D*, the highest grade you can possibly achieve in a BTEC course. I also have work experience in the media industry and a few good references.
Break it to me gently. Do I have a chance at getting in?
Some say that I would probably get a conditional offer.
I have my GCSEs, but they're C grades.
My step-father went to Imperial College London, he's helping me with my personal statement.
    Any advice guys?
    Thank you!

It depends on what the entrance grades are for your particular course. I did a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in ICT, achieved D*D*D* and was accepted into my BSc Computer Science course. The entry requirements for my course were D*D*D*, so it really depends on what your entry requirements are.
